MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University Athletics has announced that eight individuals and one team have been selected for induction into the SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor, sponsored by US Bank, on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026. The SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor is the highest athletic distinction awarded by the University.
The newest SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor members are former swimmer Denny Dayhoff (1971-75); volleyball player Sara Graf (2006-09); football player Paul Litwicki (1974-75, 78); baseball player Ryan Morse (2003-05); softball player Amanda Tucci (2006-09); the 1972-73 men's swimming & diving team; former head men's basketball coach Tim Miles (1997-2001) and community members Dave and Diane Taylor.
Complete bios of the inductees will be released later. The SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor banquet, which will be held at the SMSU Upper Level Conference Center in Marshall, will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a half-hour social, followed by lunch and the induction ceremonies beginning at 11 a.m. Ticket information will be announced in December.
An 11-member committee chose the inductees from a group of nominations. The new inductees bring the membership in SMSU's Athletic Hall of Honor to 129 individuals/couples and 17 teams.
