WAYNE, Neb. – The Southwest Minnesota State men's cross country team placed 13^th out of 14 teams at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship held Friday afternoon at the Wayne Country Club.
 
Augustana won the team title with 27 points with MSU Moorhead finishing second with 73 points. SMSU closed the race earning 375 points.
 
Jared Gregoire from MSU Moorhead won the 8,000-meter race with a time of 24:57.
 
Matthew Groebner had the fastest time for SMSU closing in 65^th place with a time of 27:32, while Logan Roelofs placed 77^th at 27:46.
 
Gavin O'Connell ran 28:20 to finish 98^th, Carter Schwalbe finished 107^th at 28:49, Roel Palomo closed in 128^th at 29:49, Elliott Hoffman was 136^th at 30:18, Noah Christensen finished 141^st at 31:34, while Daniel Olson was 143^rd at 32:16.
