WAYNE, Neb. – The Southwest Minnesota State men's cross country team placed 13
th out of 14 teams at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship held Friday afternoon at the Wayne Country Club.
Augustana won the team title with 27 points with MSU Moorhead finishing second with 73 points. SMSU closed the race earning 375 points.
Jared Gregoire from MSU Moorhead won the 8,000-meter race with a time of 24:57.
Matthew Groebner had the fastest time for SMSU closing in 65
th place with a time of 27:32, while
Logan Roelofs placed 77
th at 27:46.
Gavin O'Connell ran 28:20 to finish 98
th,
Carter Schwalbe finished 107
th at 28:49,
Roel Palomo closed in 128
th at 29:49,
Elliott Hoffman was 136
th at 30:18,
Noah Christensen finished 141
st at 31:34, while
Daniel Olson was 143
rd at 32:16.
