SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team had solid first day competing at the Augustana Invitational on Thursday inside the Midco Aquatic Center with a pair of school records broken
Carla Nevi set a program record in the 200-yard IM placing second in the 'A' final at 2:06.43, breaking her own record of 2:06.52 set last season.
SMSU's 400-yard medley relay team of Nevi,
Maddy Storm,
Grace Aesoph and
Lexi Weems placed sixth overall with a school record time of 3:54.39, breaking the previous time of 3:54.99 set in 2023-24.
Weems finished 10
th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.20 with Storm placing 18
th at 24.65.
The 200-yard freestyle relay of Nevi, Storm,
Maggie Johnson and Weems earned sixth place at 1:37.20.
The meet continues Friday and Saturday.
