WEST FARGO, N.D. -- The final day of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Championship concluded on Saturday night with Southwest Minnesota State closing the four-day meet with 261 points to finish seventh overall at the nine-team championship held inside the Hulbert Aquatic Center.
Augustana won the team championship with 994 points, while Minnesota State finished in second place with 879 points.
Maddy Storm had another strong day for the Mustangs setting two school records. She would place fourth overall in the 100-yard IM with a school record time of 59.17 and fifth overall in the 200-yard breaststroke with a program best time of 2:23.21 to give the Mustangs a total of 29 team points.
SMSU had two 400-yard freestyle relay teams earn points with the first group consisting of Storm,
Maggie Johnson,
Maija Geier, and
Lexi Weems placing fifth in the finals at 3:32.74 to record 32 points. The other team which included
Quincie Klein,
Shannon Bailey,
Heather Arlen, and
Carla Nevi placed 14th with a time of 3:40.72 to earn ten team points.
