BEMIDJI, Min. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team suffered defeat against the Bemidji State Beavers Friday night, losing 3-1.
The Mustangs were outshot by the Beavers 23-9, with 12-5 on target.
Bemidji State broke the deadlock early when Kenzie Harer put the ball into the back of the net in the fifth minute of the match.

Leah Dehne scored her first goal for the Mustangs, putting the ball away from close range after a cross into the area from
Lenee Chavez.
Bemidji State kept on the pressure, and in the 22
nd minute were rewarded for it when Sylve Waters scored her first goal of the season to make it 2-1 Beavers, to which that score would remain at the half time whistle.
The Beavers doubled their lead in the 67
th minute with Emma Huelsnitz scoring for Bemidji State, and that proved too much for the Mustangs to come back in the game.
