SMSU hosting 2026 NCAA Super Regional V on Feb. 28

MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University will be the host site for the 2026 NCAA Division II Super Regional Five Wrestling Championships on Saturday, Feb. 28, inside the R/A Facility in Marshall.
 
The tournament will feature 11 teams and roughly 110 wrestlers are scheduled to participate. First round matches begin at 10 a.m. with the finals scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Admission for the tournament is $15 for adults, $10 for college students, $5 ages 3-12. Ages two and under are free admission. Doors will open at 9 a.m.
 
The top three wrestlers in each weight class advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D., on March 13-14.
 
This year's regional features three teams ranked in the top 10 of the recent NWCA DII Coaches Rankings, released Feb. 19, with Wisconsin-Parkside at No. 6, Augustana at No. 7 and St. Cloud State at No. 9. UMary comes in at No. 14, and Minnesota State finishes the list at No. 25. Upper Iowa and Northern State are both receiving votes. SMSU, Minot State, MSUM, and Sioux Falls round out the field.
