MARSHALL, Minn. -- The Southwest Minnesota State wheelchair basketball team had its first two home games of the season on Friday and made the most of it earning a pair of victories over the University of Arizona and Wisconsin-Whitewater inside the PE Gym.

SMSU (10-8) opened the day with a 63-50 victory over Arizona before earning a 75-62 win over UWW.

In the win over Arizona, Emmanuel Fuentes Cervantes poured in a game-high 35 points with teammates Joshua Brown (15) and Fermin Wingerter (10) also scoring in double figures. Fuentes Cervantes scored 31 points with Brown adding 22 and Wingerter chipping in with 18 in the win over UWW.

SMSU closes the regular season on Saturday with two more games inside the PE Gym. The Mustangs face the University of Missouri at 10:45 a.m. before a rematch with Arizona at 2:15 p.m.
