DULUTH, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University track & field teams completed day two of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Championships on Friday at Malosky Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Jacob Kunkel and
Colton Johnson both scored points on Friday for the SMSU men's team.
Kunkel placed fourth in the high jump with a height of 2.02m to earn five points. Johnson picked-up two points with a seventh-place distance of 7.12m in the long jump.
Cody Evers finished 10
th in the 110-meter hurdles running 15.17.
Deekon Anvid recorded a throw of 49.30m in the hammer to finish in 11
th place.
Roel Palomo ran 1:55.61 to finish 11
th in the 800 meters.
Chaden Carroll cleared 4.37m in the pole vault to place 13
th.
Josh Coulby finished 14
th in the shot put at 15.16m.
For the women's team,
Emily Lorentz finished ninth in the shot put with a toss of 12.67m, while
Ella Doble also placed ninth in the 400 meters at 58.23.
Christine Sleeter earned 10
th place in the high jump at 1.59m.
Madison Marco ran 11:33.63 to finish 11
th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The final day of the NSIC Championships resumes Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
