Swimming & diving team earns CSCAA Scholar All-American team accolades

RICHMOND, Va. - The 2025-26 Southwest Minnesota State women's swimming & diving team was selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently as a Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2026 semester.
 
SMSU earned the honor by posting a GPA of 3.55 this spring.
 
A total of 11 SMSU swimming & diving student-athletes earned Academic All-NSIC honors following the 2025-26 season, while four were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025-26 Academic All-District team.
 
"This recognition celebrates the remarkable commitment these student-athletes make to excellence both in the classroom and in competition," said CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany. "The 714 teams honored this spring represent the very best of collegiate swimming and diving, demonstrating that academic success and athletic achievement go hand in hand. We congratulate every student-athlete, coach, and institution recognized."
 
SMSU was one of 63 NCAA Division II schools to earn the award. In total, 714 teams from 418 colleges and universities from all divisions earned the honor.
 
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
