LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team (6-1) dropped two spots to No. 12 in the recent AVCA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, released Monday afternoon. 

SMSU went 3-1 over the weekend in the Fairfield Inn & Suites Griffon Classic in St. Joseph, Mo. The Mustangs fell to No. 10 ranked Missouri Western State in four sets before sweeping Rockhurst, Northwest Missouri State, and Oklahoma Christian. 

SMSU is one of four teams from the NSIC represented in the top 25. Wayne State remains at No. 2, while Concordia-St. Paul falls to a tie for fifth, and last week's No. 1 St. Cloud State falls seven spots to No. 8. Minnesota Duluth is receiving votes. 

The Mustangs are on the road this weekend for their opening NSIC fixtures, first against No. 5 ranked CSP in the state capital at 6 p.m., before facing Winona State the following afternoon at 4.
