High School: 2009 graduate of Mounds View HS .. played for coach Chris Fink ... four-year letterwinner ... all-conference, all-section, all-metro and St. Paul Pioneer Press all-state as a senior ... played in Lions All-Star Series ... team most valuable player as a senior ... batted .433 with 39 hits and 43 RBI as a senior with 12 stolen bases ... also played football.

Personal: Born Sept. 25, 1990 ... son of Tim and Jill Hanson ... physical education major.
