D.J. Dillon begins his first season as an assistant coach for the SMSU baseball program in 2019.

Dillon joins the Mustang staff after a four-year career at Benedictine College (Ill.). He batted .304 during his senior season--ranking third on the team--with three doubles, two home runs and 14 RBIs.

Dillon, who played in 125 career games with 98 starts, is a 2018 graduate of Benedictine. He is pursuing his master's degree from SMSU.
