Derek Dahlke is in his second season on the SMSU coaching staff in 2021 and will serve as the team’s pitching coach.
Dahlke came to SMSU after five-year playing career at Augustana University. As a right-handed pitcher for the Vikings, Dahlke appeared in 60 career games tossing 76 2/3 innings with a 4.34 ERA. In 2018, he finished 3-0 with two saves in 24 appearances and was a member of Augustana’s NCAA national championship team. He also collected nine base hits in his career including belting a pair of home runs.
Dahlke is a 2019 graduate of Augustana and is pursuing his master’s degree at SMSU.
