Hunter Wienhoff is in his second season on the SMSU coaching staff in 2023, focusing on pitching for the Mustangs.
Wienhoff came to SMSU after a five-year pitching career at Wayne State College. He is tied for fourth in school history in games started in a season, and is tenth in innings pitched in a single season. He also ranks fourth in career strikeouts and eighth in career innings pitched. He closed his career with complete game 7-1 win at #16 Augustana (5/1/21), striking out eight while allowing just one run on eight hits
Wienhoff is a 2021 graduate of Wayne State and is pursuing his master’s degree at SMSU.
