Matt Ellinghuysen is in his second season as an assistant coach for the SMSU baseball program in 2018.
Ellinghuysen came to SMSU after spending three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Bemidji State University from 2014-16.
Ellinghuysen was a four-year letter winner at BSU from 2010-13. He closed his career batting .283 with 100 hits and 58 RBIs. He started in 47 games as a senior and batted .333 with 31 runs scored and 30 RBIs.
Ellinghuysen is a 2013 graduate of BSU with a degree in sport management. He is pursuing his master's degree at SMSU in physical education and coaching.
