Zac Cain is in his second season as an assistant coach for SMSU in 2021.
Cain joined the SMSU staff after a four-year playing career at Upper Iowa University. Cain was a three-year starter and closed his career batting .338 with 29 doubles, three home runs, 79 RBIs and 88 runs scored. As a senior in 2019, he batted .348 with 10 doubles, two triples and two home runs and was named second team All-NSIC. In 2018, Cain earned an NSIC Gold Glove for his defense at first base.
Cain is a 2019 graduate of Upper Iowa with a degree in business administration. He is pursuing his master’s degree at SMSU.
