Kyle Luedtke

Kyle Luedtke is in his second season as an assistant coach for the SMSU men’s basketball program in 2025-26.

In his first season on the coaching staff in 2024-25, SMSU won a share of the NSIC regular season championship in 2024-25, recording just the third league championship in program history. The Mustangs advanced to the NCAA tournament for the second straight season earning the No. 6 seed. SMSU spent eight weeks ranked in the NABC Top 25, including as high as No. 13 on Jan. 28.
 
Luedtke closed his collegiate playing career in 203-24 spending one year with SMSU and playing in 32 games with 28 starts. Named CSC Academic All-District, Luedtke ranked second on the squad with 50 3-pointers and averaged 7.2 points per game. He scored double figures in nine games, including a season-high 19 points with five 3-pointers at Winona State.
 
Prior to SMSU, Luedtke spent five seasons at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he played in 81 games with six starts. He scored 287 points with 53 3-pointers during his career for the Mavericks.
 
Luedtke is a 2022 graduate of UNO with a bachelor's degree in communication with an emphasis in organizational communication and leadership.
