SMSU Athletics

Rick Karius is in his first season as an assistant coach with the SMSU men's basketball program in 2009-10.

Karius was a four-year letterwinner for the men's basketball team at Wisconsin-La Crosse.  He captained the Eagles during his senior campaign in 2008-09 and was part of a squad that made the school's first NCAA tournament appearance in 2005-06.

Karius graduated from UWL in 2009 with a degree in accounting.  He is pursuing his master's of business administration at SMSU.
