High School: 2007 graduate of Belle Plaine HS ...  led team to 24 victories as a senior which included an appearance in the Section 2AA championship game ... averaged 25.7 points, 7.4 assists, 6.8 rebounds and 3.8 steals per game as a senior while shooting 44 percent from the field ... as a senior scored over 30 points in a game 10 times and scored over 40 points in three different contests ... was named first team Class AA all-state by Basketball News, Associated Press second team all-state, Minnesota River Conference most valuable player and played in the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association All-Star series ...  finished his four-year career scoring 1,586 career points which ranks second all-time in school history ... connected on 266 career three-point field goals while also recording 403 assists, 206 steals and shooting 80 percent from the free throw line ... twice was named first team all-conference as well as earning 2006 honorable mention all-state honors ... was a three-year letterwinner in football and a five-year letterwinner in golf ... was named all-conference in golf in as a junior and senior and participated in the 2006 state golf tournament ... named outstanding senior athlete at Belle Plaine ... was also was a standout in the classroom earning academic all-state accolades.
