Edmundo Torres is in his third season as an assistant coach for the SMSU women’s tennis program in 2019-20.
Torres comes to SMSU after a three-year playing career at North Greenville University in Tigerville, S.C. As a senior in 2017, he played singles at the No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 spots and also played No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. He finished with a 7-2 conference record in doubles play in 2017.
A two-time academic all-conference honoree, Torres earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from North Greenville in 2017.
Prior to SMSU, Torres worked at Twin City Tennis Camps in St. Paul, Minn., as a facility director/marketing manager and coach.
He is pursuing his master's degree at SMSU.
