MINNETONKA, MINN.: Adam Schrader pitched 6.2 shutout innings before allowing a solo home run as the Southwest Minnesota State baseball team defeated Bemidji State 3-1 in game one of a doubleheader on Monday in Minnetonka. However, SMSU dropped game two 4-3 and is now 19-17 overall and 9-11 in the NSIC this spring.

Jake Munsch added an RBI single later in the inning and
Andrew Kinney also had a run-scoring single in the fifth. Nolan was 2-for-3 at the plate.

Jared Pick. The lefthander threw just 65 pitchers , including 47 for strikes, while tossing all seven innings, but allowed an unearned run in the third inning and a three-run home run in the fourth. He struck out two and gave up six hits.
SMSU took a 2-0 lead again in the first on RBI singles by Munsch and Kinney.
The big blow for BSU came in the fourth inning as Colton Smith belted a two-out three-run homer to give the Beavers a 4-2 lead. It was Smith's first home run of the season and just his second extra-base hit of the season.
Lex Reinke cut into the BSU lead with a solo home run in the fifth inning and finished 2-for-3 in the game.
SMSU will continue its push for the NSIC tournament this Wednesday, Apr. 30 with a doubleheader at league leading Wayne State. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. in Wayne, Neb.
