WAYNE, NEB.: Amanda Johnson tossed a four-hit shutout with five strikeouts to lead No. 9 Southwest Minnesota State to a 2-0 victory over Northern State at the NSIC Crossover in Wayne, Neb.

It was the third shutout for Johnson this season as she improves to 12-2 on the season.  Amanda Burkhart and Amanda Opatz each had one RBI in the game to pace the SMSU offense while Erin Dickhausen finished with two hits.

SMSU is 16-6 overall, 1-0 NSIC and will continue conference play today at 1 p.m. versus Minnesota, Crookston.
