THIS WEEK: The No. 11-ranked Southwest Minnesota State men's basketball team (4-0, 0-0 NSIC) will open the 20-game Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference season this Saturday, Dec. 5, with a road game at No. 22 Minnesota State, Mankato (5-0, 0-0 NSIC) starting at 4 p.m. at the Taylor Center in Mankato.  The game will be a rematch of last season's NCAA Central Region semifinal game in Marshall that SMSU won 77-69.  Saturday's game is also the first of 11 road games SMSU will play this season.  Last season SMSU finished 3-1 versus nationally ranked opponents.
