Paul Blanchard announced today that SMSU's conference home doubleheader versus Minnesota State, Mankato originally scheduled for Saturday will now be played tomorrow.
The doubleheader was moved up one day because of possible rain in Marshall on Saturday. The two teams will play at 1 p.m. on Friday at SMSU's Alumni Field.
The two teams will conclude the four-game series with a doubleheader on Sunday in Mankato as originally scheduled starting at 1:30 p.m.
SMSU is 9-17 overall, 5-10 NSIC, while MSU is riding a 17-game winning streak and is 29-8 overall, 21-3 NSIC. MSU is in first place in the NSIC standings and ranked No. 2 in this week's NCAA region rankings.
