SMSU will be looking to snap a seven-game losing streak, it's longest since the 2006 season, when SMSU lost eight straight.

HEAD COACH: Paul Blanchard, the all-time leader in victories at SMSU, is in his 15th season as head coach with a record of 388-284-1, including 209-121 in conference play. During his tenure, Blanchard has led the program to its only NCAA tournament appearance, one Northern Sun Conference Intercollegiate championship, three NSIC tournament championships and 15 straight appearances in the NSIC tournament. Blanchard began the 2011 season with a .590 career winning percentage ranking 44th in the country among active NCAA II coaches. Named the fifth coach in SMSU history on July 14, 1996, Blanchard has coached two NSIC Players of the Year, one NSIC Pitcher of the Year, 21 all-region players, two Academic All-Americas, the program's only NCAA All-America and two Major League Baseball draft picks.
