THIS WEEK: The Southwest Minnesota State University men's basketball team returns home this weekend for a pair of key Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games at the R/A Facility.  SMSU (10-9, 9-6 NSIC), currently tied for fifth place in the NSIC standings, will face Wayne State College (5-14, 4-11 NSIC) on Friday, Feb. 3, with tip-off slated for 8 p.m.  SMSU wraps-up the weekend on Saturday, Feb. 4, to battle preseason NSIC favorite Augustana College (12-7, 9-6 NSIC) with tip-off slated for 8 p.m.  Saturday night is the annual “Hawaiian Night” game, concluding a week worth of activities on campus in conjunction with  “Winter Meltdown”.  Winter Meltdown is an SMSU tradition, a time for students, faculty and staff to participate in fun activities to help beat the 'winter blues.'
