THIS WEEKEND: The Southwest Minnesota State University men's basketball team (17-10), winners of seven of its last eight, travels to Rochester, Minn., for the semifinals and finals of the 2012 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Sanford Health Men's Basketball Tournament this Saturday and Sunday, March 3-4.  SMSU, the No. 2 seed, will take on No. 6 seed Winona State University (25-4) on Saturday night with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m. at Taylor Arena at the Mayo Civic Center.  SMSU advance to the semifinals with a 99-92 victory over No. 7 seed Minnesota Duluth on Wednesday night, while WSU moved on with a 64-53 win over No. 3 seed St. Cloud State.  SMSU and WSU will be meeting for the third time this season with the Warriors winning both times.  If SMSU defeats WSU on Saturday, it will play either No. 1 Bemidji State or No. 4 MSU Moorhead in the championship game on Sunday, March 4, at 4:30 p.m.
