THIS WEEK - The Southwest Minnesota State University (1-1) men's basketball team will travel to Brookings, S.D., on Monday, Nov. 18, to play its first road game of the season taking on South Dakota State University (0-2) with tip-off set for 7 p.m. at Frost Arena. Following Monday's game, SMSU will play at Northern Michigan on Nov. 21 and at Michigan Tech on Nov. 22. The Mustangs opened the season on Nov. 9-10 splitting a pair of home games, losing to Fort Hays State (Kan.) 89-72, before rebounding with a 72-50 victory over Northwest Missouri State.
MUSTANG QUICK HITTERS -
•SMSU shot 70.8 percent from the field in the second half during over Northwest Missouri State on Nov. 10. It's the first time SMSU has shot 70 percent in one half since Feb. 7, 2009, at Minnesota Crookston.

Nick Smith tied a career-high with five blocked shots versus Northwest Missouri State.
•Junior
Shaun Condon scored a career-high 15 points versus Fort Hays State.
•SMSU shot 50 percent or higher from the field in 16 games last season, including 14 of 22 NSIC games.
•SMSU finished last season ranked 15th in Division II in field goal pct. (48.8) and 21st in free throw pct. (75.4).
•Only four teams shot 50 percent or better from the field versus SMSU last season.
•SMSU set a school record with 107 blocked shots last season.
•In the final 2012-13 NSIC statistics, SMSU finished first in field goal pct., second in blocked shots, third in assists, fourth in scoring, fourth in field goal pct. defense and fourth in free throw pct.
•SMSU has led the NSIC in field goal pct. in back-to-back seasons.Â
