MARSHALL, Minn. - Southwest Minnesota State University men's basketball student-athletes Calvin Buss, Mekhi Shaw and Aeron Stevens have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team announced on Tuesday.
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Buss, a sophomore forward from West Bend, Wis., earns CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time in his career. He played in all 28 games with one start and averaged 2.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 64 percent (30 of 47) from the field. He also added 18 blocked shots and nine steals.
 
Shaw, a junior guard from Eau Claire, Wis., played in all 28 games with six starts and earns CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time. Named All-NSIC second team this season, Shaw averaged 11.9 points per game and led the team with 57 steals, while ranking second with 77 assists.
 
Stevens, a junior forward from Plainview, Minn., earns CSC Academic All-District accolades for the second time. He ranked second on the team averaging 12.5 points per game and was fourth averaging 3.5 rebounds per game. He shot 45 percent (122 of 272) from the field, while adding 54 assists, 21 blocked shots and 25 steals. 
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
