MARSHALL, Minn. — The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team will continue non-conference action tonight as it looks to snap its' 22-dual losing streak with Augsburg College tonight starting at 7 p.m.
AUGSBURGSMSU will face Augsburg for the 28th time in program history as AC defeated the Mustangs 30-14 last season. The Auggies hold a 24-3 record against SMSU in the series that started back in the 1972-73 season. Augsburg has taken the last 22 contests with the Mustangs last win coming back in the 1987-88 when SMSU won 19-18.
LAST TIME VS ACLast season SMSU hosted AC in the PE Gym and suffered a 30-14 loss.

LAST TIME OUTThe Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team finished the Candlewood Suites UW-La Crosse Wrestling Duals 1-2 last Saturday in Mitchell Hall. SMSU suffered a 32-6 loss to No. 5 UW-La Crosse in the opening dual, before dropping a 48-0 decision to No. 1 Wartburg College (Iowa). The Mustangs lone win was a 23-18 victory over UW-Eau Claire in the final round.
UP NEXTSouthwest Minnesota State will travel to Kearney, Neb., to compete in the Midwest Duals on Jan. 16.
