MARSHALL, Minn. — The Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team hosted its annual 'Late Show' intrasquad scrimmage Thursday night at the PE Gym. The SMSU volleyball team put on a show for a packed house to cap off day one of SMSU's 2016 Gold Rush Days.
The Mustangs split their roster into two teams and played three sets in front of a great crowd inside the PE Gym. This was the first opportunity for Mustang fans to get a look at the 2016 squad.
SMSU will open the season against Michigan Tech on Sept. 2 as a part of the Lewis (Ill.) Tournament which will be held in Romeoville, Ill. The Mustangs' first of ten home matches will be held on Sept. 15 versus Augustana.
