TUCSON, Ariz. – For the second straight game, St. Cloud State used a big third inning and took advantage of four Southwest Minnesota State errors to earn a 14-1 victory on Tuesday morning at the Kino Sports Complex.
 
SCSU (3-3) led 1-0 in the third inning before blowing the game open with a seven-run third inning, behind five hits and one error.
 
SMSU (1-4) was held to just two hits in the game.
 
Jared Tschetter (0-1) making his first collegiate start on the mound for SMSU, lasted 2 1/3 innings, allowing eight runs (six earned) on five hits and three walks.
 
Tanner Strommen had two hits and one walk to lead the Mustang offense.
 
Southwest Minnesota State will have Wednesday off before returning to the diamond on Thursday afternoon with match-up versus Northern State at 4 p.m. CST.
