"Sam is a multi-positional player who is ultra-competitive and can impact a game on both ends of the floor with her athleticism and toughness," Webb said. "On the offensive side of the ball, she has the capability of playing the 1 thru the 3. Sam can really shoot the basketball and finish at the rim with the best of them. We are excited to add Sam to the Mustang family."

Wall, who is a four-year letter winner in basketball, earned first team all-conference honors as a sophomore and was a second team all-conference honoree as a freshman. She is also a letter winner in both cross country and track & field, and was a state qualifier last season in both the 100 meters and 200 meters.

Southwest Minnesota State University, located in Marshall, is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. SMSU is 3-2 overall and opens NSIC play this Saturday, Dec. 1, hosting the University of Sioux Falls.
