MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team begins its inaugural season this Friday and Saturday competing in a pair of dual meets.
SMSU will have its first-ever Division II dual on Friday in Mankato facing Minnesota State starting at 5 p.m. On Saturday, SMSU will host Iowa Lakes Community College inside the Don Palm Natatorium starting at 1 p.m.

Marty Wahle has nine athletes on the 2019-20 roster with one senior, one junior and seven freshmen.
Saturday's meet is one of three SMSU will host this season. The Mustangs will also face UMary on Oct. 18 and Northern State on Nov. 15 in home meets. The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships will take place on Feb. 12-15 in Bismarck, N.D.
