WINONA, Minn. -- The Southwest Minnesota State women's tennis team opened conference play on Saturday with a 6-1 loss to Winona State at the Winona Tennis Center.

Daniela Flores picked up a singles point for SMSU with a 4-6, 7-3, 10-3 victory at No. 4.

WSU earned the one team doubles point winning two of three matches at No. 1 and No. 2. SMSU's No. 3 doubles team of Hannah Starke and Cora Delich won its match by a score of 6-2.

Southwest Minnesota State continues NSIC play on Sunday with a morning match versus Upper Iowa stating at 9:00.
