MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's cross-country teams resume action this Friday at the Wildcat Classic hosted by Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb. The two races will be held at the Wayne Country Club.

The women's 5K race starts at 4 p.m. with the men's 8K race to follow at 4:45 p.m.

Friday's race will be SMSU's first since competing at the Augustana Twilight on Sept. 2.

Caitlyn Regan led the Mustangs at Augustana with a 106th place finish as she covered the 5K race with a time of 20:10.
Natalie Jorschumb placed 123rd with a time of 20:26, followed by
Catherine Ihrke at 20:39 to finish in 136th.

Brayden Tofteland was the highest finisher for the men's team in the four-mile race crossing the line at 21:58 to place 168th.

Following Friday's meet, SMSU will run at the Dordt College Invite on Oct. 8.
