Mustang swimming & diving returns to action on Friday and Saturday; Hosts MSU on Saturday

MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team returns to competition this Friday and Saturday with a pair of meets, including a home dual on Saturday inside the Don Palm Natatorium.

Earlier this week, SMSU added a meet for this Friday in Sioux Falls, S.D., with a triangular with Augustana and Minnesota Morris at the Midco Auqatic Center starting at 6 p.m. SMSU is 0-1 all-time versus Augustana, losing 199-57, on Jan. 11, 2020, but is 5-0 all-time versus UMM, which includes two victories earlier this season.

On Saturday, SMSU will host Minnesota State in a dual meeting beginning at 1 p.m. SMSU is 0-7 all-time versus MSU in duals, including suffering a 235-120 loss earlier this season in Mankato.

SMSU, which is 6-3 in duals this season, last competed on Nov. 17-18 at the Luther College Invite in Decorah, Iowa, finishing second over in the six-team invite. SMSU finished the two-day meet breaking five school records.
