SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team competed in the Augustana triangular against Augustana University and the University of Minnesota, Morris on Friday night.
The Mustangs defeated the Cougars by a score of 145-106 but fell to the Vikings by a score of 176-84.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Carla Nevi finished with a time of 52:01.43 to place second.
Quincie Klein won the 500-yard freestyle event after finishing the event with a time of 5:32.63. Klein also placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle, with a time of 11:39.40.
Shannon Bailey completed the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:13.52 to place second. Bailey also placed second in the 200-yeard breaststroke with a time of 2:42.54.
Maija Geier competed in the 50-yard freestyle, completing the event in 24.84 to place second, as well as the 200-yard backstroke, where Geier also placed second, with a time of 2:13.23
Natalie Bohnert placed second in the 100-yard butterfly, with a time of 1:02.74.
The SMSU swimming and diving team will host Minnesota State today for Senior Day, make sure to come out and support your Mustangs!
