Stoltzman and Wall tabbed All-NSIC

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced today Southwest Minnesota State University junior women's basketball player Bri Stoltzman has been named All-NSIC first team, while senior Sam Wall was named All-NSIC second team as selected by the league's 15 head coaches.
 
Stoltzman, a 5-foot-8, guard from Mankato, Minn., leads SMSU in scoring (18.0), rebounding (6.6), assists (3.6), and steals (2.1), while ranking third in 3-point field goals made (43). She has scored 20 or more points eight times this season, including pouring in a career-high 36 versus Northwest Missouri State on Nov. 10.

In NSIC play, Stoltzman ranked second in the conference in scoring (17.7), while ranking fourth in assists (3.5), sixth in steals (2.2), seventh in field goal pct. (46.2), 10th in free throw pct. (75.2), and 12th in rebounds (6.4). 
 
In 85 career games, Stoltzman ranks fourth in team history in field-goal pct. (50.3) and was the 25th Mustang women's basketball player to score 1,000 points on Feb. 28, against Augustana. 

Stoltzman, who was named All-NSIC second team in 2022-23, is a 2021 graduate of Mankato West High School.

Wall, a 5-foot-8, guard from Delhi, Iowa, leads SMSU in 3-point field goals made (85) and free throw pct. (84.6), while ranking second in scoring (13.4). She has scored 20 or more points three times this season, including a season-high 24 versus MSU Moorhead on Jan. 12. 

In NSIC play, Wall ranked first in the conference in 3-point field goal pct. (36.9) and in 3-point field goals per game (3.0). 
 
In 127 career games, Wall is tied for first in games played and ranks second in team history in 3-pointers made (248), while ranking fifth in free throw pct. (82.0), sixth in 3-point field goal pct. (38.4) and 14th in scoring (1,201). 

Wall is a 2019 graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School.

SMSU is 18-11 overall and will play in the quarterfinals of the NSIC Tournament on Sunday with an 4:30 p.m. match-up versus Northern State at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
