MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State University women's and men's cross country teams return to action this Friday competing at the ninth annual Dragon Twilight Invitational hosted by MSU Moorhead.

The women's 5k race is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. with the men's 6k race closing the night at 8:10 p.m. and will be held at Nemzek Stadium. Â Â

Both SMSU teams opened the season last Friday at the Augustana Twilight in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Macie Langstraat led the Mustangs with a 64th place finish out of 239 athletes as she covered the 5k race with a time of 19:08.
Carter Schwalbe was the highest finisher for the men's team in the four-mile race crossing the line at 20:37 to place 120th out of 375 athletes.

Following Friday's meet, SMSU will next compete at the Wayne State Wildcat Classic on Sept. 28 in Wayne, Neb.
