HUDSON, Wis. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's golf team shot a final round score of 46-over-par 330 on Tuesday to close with a two-round total of 90-over 658 and earn fifth place at the 10-team Fall Brawl played at the par-71 Troy Burne Golf Club. The 36-hole tournament was co-hosted by Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State.
The University of Sioux Falls won the team title with a 68-over 634, finishing six strokes ahead of second place Winona State. Ellie Behring from WSU captured medalist honors with a 7-over 149.
Danielle Podoll finished tied for 13
th overall at 21-over 163 to pace the Mustangs in the two-day event. She shot a 9-over 80 on Tuesday with four birdies and five pars.
Mallory Uselman made eight pars in the final round on her way to an 11-over 82. She placed tied for 19
th overall at 23-over 165.
Isabella Jacobs made seven pars on Tuesday to shoot a 14-over 85 and finish tied for 21
st overall at 24-over 166.
Berkley Steffen placed tied for 39
th overall at 29-over 171, following Tuesday's round of 19-over 90, which included one birdie and six pars.
Ellie Krueger made one birdie and seven pars in the final round to shoot a 12-over 83 and finish 45
th overall at 34-over 176.
Natalie Appel played as an individual and shot a 14-over 85 on Tuesday on her way to placing tied for 47
th at 35-over 177.
SMSU will has this weekend off before returning to play on Sept. 28-29 hosting the annual EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite at the Marshall Golf Club.
