MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University Athletics Department has announced promotions and themes for the upcoming winter sports home season.
 
The first SMSU winter sports home event will be Nov. 11 when the swimming & diving team will host MSU Moorhead and Jamestown in a double dual. The first home wrestling dual will take place on Nov. 15 versus Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), while the women's basketball will close out the month of with its first home game on Nov. 30 versus Northern State. The men's basketball team will have its first home game on Dec. 6 versus Wayne State, while the wheelchair basketball team won't have its first home game until March 13-14.
 
SMSU Athletics will host a Winter Sports Kickoff social, free and open to the public, on Nov. 10 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the R/A Facility.
