MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team opens its home season on Tuesday with a 12 p.m. double-dual meet versus MSU Moorhead and Jamestown inside The Don Palm Natatorium.
Tuesday's meet will feature 14 individual or relay events along with 1-meter and 3-meter diving.
SMSU is 1-0 all-time versus Jamestown, earning a 145-94 win on Oct. 22, 2021, in Marshall. SMSU is 2-4 all-time versus MSU Moorhead with MSUM earning victories the past two seasons.
SMSU last competed on Oct. 25 competing at the Morningside double-dual with SMSU defeating Iowa Lakes Community College, 171-11 and earning a 168-26 win over Morningside. SMSU won nine individual and two team events and set two pool records during the day.
Lexi Weems set a pool record in winning the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.43.

Maggie Johnson and Weems set a pool record with a winning time of 1:40.91.
Storm won the 50-yard freestyle at 23.91 and was first in the 100-yard freestyle at 1:00.70.
Carla Nevi earned first place in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:13.67 and was first in the 100-yard backstroke at 59.81.
Savannah Orzech won the 1,000-yard freestyle at 11:31.81 with Aesoph capturing first in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:04.41.
Shannon Bailey touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:39.46, while
Olivia Johnson closed with a time of 1:12.20 to win the 100-yard breaststroke.
SMSU's 200-yard medley relay of

Alana Condezo and
Elyanna Dogotch earned a first-place time of 1:58.01.
Following Tuesday's meet, SMSU continues home action on Saturday with a 1 p.m. dual versus Minnesota State starting at 1 p.m.
