Five SMSU softball players earn CSC Academic All-District accolades

MARSHALL, Minn. – Five members of the Southwest Minnesota State University softball program earned spots on the 2026 College Sport Communicators Academic All-District team announced on Tuesday.

Named to the all-district team include senior Riley Kramolisch, juniors Grace Anderson and Emma Humpal, along with sophomores Kaylee Hafermann and Lexi Ingalls.

The Academic All-District® softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field of play and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible for the all-district team, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 (through December 2025), compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.

Kramolisch, an outfielder from Omaha, Neb., led the team with 67 base hits, while batting .347. She closed her career with a school record 231 hits. Kramolisch is a three-time Academic All-NSIC honoree and earns CSC Academic All-District honors for the third straight season.

Humpal, an infielder from Omaha, Neb., earns CSC Academic All-District honors for the second straight season. A two-time Academic All-NSIC honoree, she closed the season leading the team in both home runs (6) and RBIs (39).

Anderson, a native of Richfield, Minn., is a two-time Academic All-NSIC honoree. She batted .283 with four doubles and three home runs this season.

Hafermann, an outfielder from Elko New Market, Minn., and Academic All-NSIC honoree, started 44 games while scoring nine runs and closing with four stolen bases.

Ingalls, a shortstop, started all 58 games and led the team with 123 assists. A native of Dell Rapids, S.D., and Academic All-NSIC honoree, she smacked a team-high three triples, while adding eight doubles and 21 RBIs.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.

SMSU finished the 2026 season with a record of 32-26, qualified for the NSIC tournament for the second straight and earned its first NSIC tournament victory since 2022. The 32 victories—the program's highest win total since 2009—marks just the 11th 30-plus win season in program history.
