MARSHALL, Minn. – Nearly 130 individuals participated in the annual 'David and Carol Drown SMSU Golf Classic' held on Friday, June 12, at the Marshall Golf Club.
 
The annual event is a five-person scramble format tournament for individuals of all playing abilities and is a tremendous way for Mustang supporters to enjoy a great day of golf and help raise scholarship dollars for SMSU student-athletes.
 
In addition to the 18 holes of golf, all registrants received a Mustang bag or cooler, golf ball and tees, complimentary range balls, lunch and refreshments on the course.
 
Kruse Motors of Marshall won the team title with a score of 22-under 50, while Boerboom Insurance placed second with a 19-under 53.
 
The team led by Pat and Greg Drown and the team led by Michael Dunn and Jack Clark were the random team drawing winners with each squad earning MGC Pro Shop credit.
