MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State softball team travels to Kissimmee, Fla., this weekend, opening a 12-game set that is part of the Rebel Spring Games. The Mustangs will play two games a day, starting this Saturday and ending on Thursday.
SMSU (4-6, 0-0 NSIC) will meet up with nine different NCAA Division II squads in its six-day outing. The Mustangs will play each team once, excluding Nebraska-Omaha and Wayne State (Mich.), who the Mustangs will play twice.
Christine Borowiak currently leads the Mustangs at the plate, batting .448 on the season.

The Mustangs opened the season with a pair of weekend tournaments last month. SMSU posted a 2-4 record at the RMAC/NSIC Crossover in its first tournament of the season and went 2-2 at the St. Cloud State Husky Dome Invite just two weeks ago.
