KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Southwest Minnesota State softball team fell 1-0 to Central Missouri Thursday afternoon at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla.
Each team posted one hit; however, the hit SMSU gave up was a homerun. That dagger came in the bottom of the third inning, breaking the scoreless tie.
Ali Honken pitched a complete game in the loss.
Kristen Braden collected SMSU's lone hit, a double coming in the fifth inning.
SMSU heads back to Minnesota and opens the conference season on Saturday, hosting Minnesota State, Mankato for a double header. Action starts at 12 p.m.
