MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Upper Iowa swept all three doubles matches and managed a pair of win in single play to sneak past the Southwest Minnesota State tennis team 5-4 Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis, Minn.

The loss drops SMSU to 1-10 (0-4 NSIC).

Upper Iowa was dominate in all three doubles matches, not allowing SMSU a win in that portion of the match.

The Mustangs, however, got things rolling in singles play.  At No. 1, Ananda Ferrari rebounded from a first-set loss to defeat Kasey Huisman 1-6, 6-4, 10-5.  Danielle Hildebrandt won in straight sets over Kelsey Montgomery at No. 2, 7-5, 6-3.  At No. 5, Amy Daniels took down Betsy Limburg 7-5, 3-6, 10-7.  Angie Wiegmann also picked up a win over Nicole Henry at No. 6, winning 6-4, 5-7, 10-8.

The four wins in singles play fell just short though as the Peacocks added two wins in singles--those coming at No. 3 and No. 4.

The Mustangs return to action this weekend when they meet up with Minnesota Duluth, St. Cloud State and Mary in Sartell, Minn.
