SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Augustana posted four singles wins and one doubles victory to sneak by the Southwest Minnesota State tennis team 5-4 Friday night in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Augustana improves to 3-4 (2-1 NSIC), while SMSU drops to 1-4 (0-2 NSIC).

The Mustangs were dominant in doubles play, taking two of three matches.  The pair of Trisha Baldwin and Cailey Grupe grabbed an 8-3 win over Hailey Gunderson and Sarah Lamberty at No. 2 doubles, while Angie Wiegmann and Toni Pribyl notched a 9-8 (7-4) victory over Emily Johnson and Danielle Gilbert at No. 3 doubles.

SMSU posted a pair of wins in singles competition as Danielle Hildebrandt defeated Johnson in the No. 2 singles match and Amy Daniels posted a victory over Gunderson in the No. 5 singles match.

Augie, however, won the dual-deciding match at No. 6 singles as Amber Baustian was victorious over SMSU's Angie Wiegmann, taking the match in straight sets.

The Mustangs travel to Gustavus Adolphus on Sunday to take on the Gusties at 9 a.m.
