MARSHALL, Minn. - The Southwest Minnesota State tennis team swept all three doubles matches en route to notching a 5-4 conference victory over Bemidji State and winning its second straight match Saturday afternoon at Legion Field in Marshall.
SMSU improves to 3-12 (2-6 NSIC), while BSU drops to 4-12 (4-7 NSIC).
The Mustangs were flawless in doubles play, posting win at at all three spots.
Ananda Ferrari and
Toni Pribyl had largest margin of victory for SMSU in doubles play, grabbing an 8-2 win over BSU's Kali Welu and Kelli Christianson at No. 1.
Ferrari started singles play with a Mustang win, defeating Welu in straight sets at No. 1.
Trisha Baldwin also picked up a win in singles, netting a win from her No. 4 spot.
SMSU will travel to Sartell, Minn., on Friday to play Minnesota, Crookston in a 4 p.m. conference match.
